St. Kitts Opening a state-of-the-art call center

The Caribbean Advantage

Why the Caribbean?
IMA’s locations for its call centers maximizes the benefits of the near-shore offering:

  • Work force.
    • Low labor cost. The cost of labor allows our sites to be competitive with offshore locations.
    • Cultural ties. There is a strong cultural linkage to both the US and the UK.
    • Education levels. There is an educated labor force looking for alternative career opportunities.
  • Ease of travel with direct flights. This allows clients to easily visit sites and provide local management support.
  • Language and accent. The lightly accented English of our CSRs allows for effective communication with US and UK markets.
  • Optimum time zone. An appropriate stagger or synchronization between the call center and client market is critical. The Caribbean is Atlantic Standard Time, GMT -5/-4 and EST/EST+1 depending on the season, which is ideal for primetime UK and US contact.
  • Business environment. There is a pro-business environment with key government support in the Caribbean countries we select. Call centers are highly prized by Government Agencies who provide local assistance and tax incentives to support these operations.
  • Telecom. Current deregulation of telecommunications is resulting in an emergence of new providers and lower costs.
